At the Northbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that faith comes alive through service. Following Christ’s example of compassion, we seek to share His love in practical ways that uplift our neighbors and strengthen our community. Through our ongoing food drive, we help provide nourishment and hope to families in need. Our volunteers also serve at Youth Services, offering encouragement and support to young people, and at a local nursing home, where we bring companionship and joy to our elders. Each act of kindness is a reflection of God’s grace at work in us—living out the call to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31).

At Northbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that small acts of generosity can make a big difference. Through our Pack the Pantry ministry, we’re helping to keep our community nourished by supporting two local food pantries — the Wheeling Township Food Pantry and The Ark here in Northbrook. We collect donated items every 4th Saturday of the month, making it easy for neighbors to share what they can.

If you’d like to participate, simply fill a bag with your donations and leave it by your front door on collection day — our volunteers will handle the rest! To arrange pickup, please email us at [email protected] with your address. Together, we can make sure no neighbor goes hungry.

At Northbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation. Through our partnership with Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook, we volunteer as needs arise — from providing dinners for their after-school program to lending a helping hand with their special events and community initiatives.
By showing up with care, encouragement, and a home-cooked meal, we hope to remind every young person that they are valued and loved by God. If you’d like to join us in serving or learn more about upcoming volunteer opportunities, please contact us at [email protected]

Our Care Companions ministry is dedicated to bringing friendship, joy, and God’s love to the residents of Addolorata Nursing Home in Wheeling. On the 4th Saturday of each month from 1:00–3:00 PM, we spend time socializing, listening, and sharing moments of warmth with those who have so many stories and experiences to offer.
Through simple acts of presence and kindness, we seek to reflect Christ’s compassion and remind each resident that they are never forgotten or alone. If you’d like to join us or learn more about this ministry, please contact us at [email protected]
