WELCOME  HOME

Everyone is a child of God. God loves and cares for everyone. That is why we are all family! At the Northbrook Seventh-day Adventist church, we are fellow believers and followers of Jesus Christ.  Our congregation is diverse, coming from every walk of life and many different world cultures. We embrace this diversity and consider it one of our church's strengths.

A church isn't a building, but it's the group of believers.  We come together as a family to praise God and to fulfill His mission for us which is to spread the good news of the Gospel for all who desperately need it!  We would love for you to be part of this wonderful family.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about who we are, what we believe, and how you can get to know and join us! And we hope that the content encourages and enlightens you as you find ways to connect with our Lord and Savior.  Jesus started a movement. Join us, as we continue the movement!

REGISTER TO WORSHIP WITH US IN-PERSON

The Northbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church has been following the recommendations set by the Illinois Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Churches and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

As of February 02, 2021, Cook County was moved up to Phase 4 as determined by the Illinois Department of Public Health. As such, we will be having our Sabbath worship services in the church building starting March 06, 2021.

In order to provide a safe environment with enough social distancing, we can accommodate a maximum of 25 people including those that will be participating in the service.  In order to maintain the safe environment, we will require that all that plan to attend the in-person service to register by the Wednesday prior to the worship service.  We will take the first 25 registrations.

The worship service will still be livestreamed on our YouTube channel for those that cannot or prefer not to come in-person.

To register for our in-person service, please click on the REGISTER button below.

MISSION

We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Northbrook Seventh-Day Adventist Church is a family-oriented community of believers, a home for all people. We endeavor to fulfill the God-given mission to make disciples of all ages and peoples in a way that each individual plays a part of spreading the Gospel and feels a sense of belonging. Each member is loved, appreciated, and equipped to go on out to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

VISION

To become a Christ-centered church of fully devoted followers of Jesus; that lead people to Jesus through service, fellowship, small group and worship!
  • We envision the church as a family that works in harmony with each other, the community and God.
  • We envision each member belonging to a relational small group community where everyone grows together in relationship with each other and with God. Small groups is the space that each member is personally invested in, trained and equipped to make disciples.
  • We envision the church as a lighthouse for the community. Our members grow spiritually when they serve the homeless, the less fortunate and each other.
  • We envision the church as an ever flourishing resource pool that works to meet each member’s physical and spiritual needs through its various ministries and programs. Programs are where members can be educated and taught sublime, deep, meaningful truths.
  • We envision the church worshiping God in truth and spirit

VALUES

Family
We are children of God, uplifting biblical family values. As brothers and sisters, we value each other and will do anything and everything to preserve healthy relationships. We invest our resources to meet each others spiritual and physical needs so that we may grow to the full stature of Jesus Christ. We are family!
Excellence
Everything we do, we neither do for us, nor for our members, but for the glory of God. Our work is an outward expression of the unseen inward character. If truly the Holy Spirit dwells within us, our work will reflect the fruits of the Spirit.
Growth
Spiritual growth and numerical growth are key to the sustainability of the church. If we are to reach the whole world, we ought to be growing in our relationship with God as well as in number. We strive to reach the whole world with the good news of Jesus starting with our circle of influence.
Service
From the eldest to the youngest, we are all significant and work together as parts of one body. Each member has a role to play and everyone is encouraged and empowered to contribute to the whole, making good use of their spiritual gifts and talents to edify others and for the glory of God.
Faithfulness
We are stewards of God’s gifts including God’s truth, time, talents, money etc. As such, God blesses us only as we are faithful in the things that have been entrusted to us. We practice what we preach!
Inclusive
We welcome all people to come as they are.

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12.  The scriptures are an historical document, an instruction manual, a revelation of who God is, but more importantly, it is an encounter with the living God.

Seek every opportunity to go where prayer is wont to be made. Those who are really seeking for communion with God will be seen in the prayer meeting...They will improve every opportunity of placing themselves where they can receive the rays of light from heaven."
